Travel

During my holidays I really like to go hiking in the mountains, stroll through rainforests, explore and discovere nature and its wildlife. This means I must like travelling!

On this page you can find some of the pictures i took during all of these travels. I'm going to add a personal story to each journey as time permits, so be sure to visit this page again somewhere in de future. During christmas and around new years we went to Laos and Cambodia with Sawadee. We had a wonderful time. Laotian people are so authentic and kind. This is how travelling in Asia is supposed to be! We started in the North of Laos and went all the way to the south, before flying from Pakse in Laos to Siem Reap in Cambodia and finishing in Phnom Penh before returning home via Bankok.

As I was always curious about the nordics this summer I booked another active holiday. We visited the 'Vikingskipet' in Hamar and saw Bart Veldkamp practise. We walked in the rain through Rondane, climbed the Galdhoppigen, went mountainbiking to Lillefjellet, Rafting in Valldall and hiked around a very windy Gjedesheim, we alsmost were blown of the mountain ridge when climbing to the Beseggen top.

This summer I went on my second active holiday and discovered that next to activitities like canyoning, climbing, abseiling and mountainbiking I really like mountain hiking.

In the July 1996 I went to Adelaide Australia for an internship at the University of South Australia. After this internship I was able to travel around the country. I have four albums of wonderful pictures on a bookshelf. Have no idea when I will ever scan these images. Maybe it is better just to go there again :-)

My first holiday abroad and on my own. I booked a kayak trip through the Gorges du Tarn in France. This was great fun.
